Hypocrisy is a growing epidemic.

Hypocrisy is so prevalent in this generation. Everywhere I turn I see it, why is so hard for people to either be hot or cold? To believe or to not believe? To give a yes or a no? Why do we say one thing in a group of people but then say something completely different in another group of people?  Why can we not say what we mean and mean what we say?? People take on the title as a Christian, They love the lord, they go to church and when they are at church they are someone that is a stranger to themselves the other 6 days out of the week.  That makes me so sad. It has to feel like you don’t know who you are. I believe that when I found who I was and who God said I was that those things seem to vanish. I’m not saying I never deal with them because as a young adult in this world I am faced with it every single day whether it’s in the break room at work or at the grocery store.  This is my opinion but I believe that when there is an absence of purpose in someone’s life that’s where the difficulties come in. I read this quote today that really just summed it up.

Purpose means knowing who we are in Christ and what He has done for us, then acting out our relationship and redemption by being obedient to God’s will. It is the pursuit of God so He becomes the driving force, inspiration, motivation, and reason for all we do in life.”

What do you think we can do to help prevent our generation from missing their purpose in life? Or knowing who they are? Do you feel it’s achieved by people helping you along the way or 100% up to you?

15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.”- Revelation 3:15-16
